Our goal is to create unique, cost-effective, functional site/civil/drainage designs which exceed our client’s goals and objectives.

OUR HISTORY

Land Design & Development, Inc. (LD&D) is a consulting engineering firm offering the professional services of landscape architectureland planning, master planning and designcivil engineering and land surveying. LD&D has over 20 years of experience designing and engineering successful projects delivered on time and within budget for both public and private developments in the Kentuckiana area, as well as other states across the United States.

We take pride in providing our customers with successful projects through sound design principles, quality project management, prompt scheduling, open communication and a commitment to exceeding client expectations. We create unique, cost-effective, functional site/civil/drainage designs which meet or exceed our client’s goals and objectives. LD&D provides planning, surveying, and design services for parks and recreation facilities, municipal buildings, utility, green infrastructure, residential developments, commercial industrial clients and transportation projects.

Our comprehensive site project experience gives LD&D the ability to address all aspects of design and engineering necessary to construct a wide variety of projects varying in size and type. The LD&D, Inc. professionals are qualified to perform field reconnaissance, site analysis and all necessary investigations to determine a project’s environmental concerns, infrastructure and utility needs and conflicts, site topographic and soil requirements and to ascertain impacts and benefits to adjoining properties, the general area and the greater community.

LD&D, Inc. is in the forefront of green design and sustainable engineering with LEED AP licensed Landscape Architects and Engineers on staff. LD&D has taken a leadership role in developing and conducting water quality protection and green design seminars for local municipalities and storm water management agencies. LD&D has conducted numerous onsite seminars to educate engineers, landscape architects, developers, city and county officials, citizen leaders and other interested parties on the benefits associated with green design.

The LD&D team offers licensed landscape architects with LEED AP certifications, licensed civil engineers with LEED AP certifications, and licensed land surveyors experienced in providing a variety of professional services and most important, customer satisfaction.

The Sales and Marketing Council of Louisville represent outstanding achievement in new homes and lost sales. In January 2011, our customer Elite Homes, Inc. was recognized as an award winner for the Best Patio, Condominium, Garden or Townhome Community. Land Design & Development provided the land planning for this award winning community.

The Healing Place Women’s and Children’s Center in Louisville, Kentucky was awarded LEED Silver status. LD&D’s Civil Engineering Team is proud to have been a part of this effort.

Green Infrastructure

LD&D has taken a leadership role in developing and conducting water quality protection and green design seminars for local municipalities as well as storm water management agencies. LD&D has conducted numerous seminars related to previous and current developments that utilized our design expertise to incorporate green infrastructure in their projects. The seminars introduced engineers, landscape architects, developers and city and county officials, citizen leaders and other interested parties to the benefits associated with green design. LD&D’s expertise in the field of green infrastructure has also been a benefit to local schools and students at such institutions as Assumption High School and Scared Heart Academy. Both schools have utilized green infrastructure as part of their campus design and incorporated its use as a valuable teaching tool. LD&D prides it’s self on “shaping the future look” of our community to make it a greener place for future generations.
